Megatron® HEAT TRANSFER OIL ISO VG 22 Megatron® HEAT TRANSFER OIL ISO VG 22
Megatron® HEAT TRANSFER OIL ISO VG 22
Availability: In Stock

Megatron Heat Transfer Oil Range is a highly refined, thermal stable, mineral oil- type heat transfer range formulated with premium hydrocracked base oils for use in heat transfer systems with forced circulation.

Specifications, Performance Standards & Recommendations:

This range is recommended for the use in heat transfer systems where fuel oil, gas or electricity is used to heat a fluid, which then transfers the heat to the point of application .Can be used for used in both closed and open heat transfer systems with forced circulation where a mineral- type heat transfer fluid is required. Copper and copper alloys should not be used in heat transfer systems with a hydrocarbon fluid unless air (oxygen) is excluded from contact with the fluid by hermetic sealing and/ or an inert gas “blanket”.

NOTE FOR OPEN SYSTEMS: Due to oxidation which is increased in open systems due to the exposure to oxygen, the life of any mineral oil, in any open system declines rapidly at temperatures beyond the region of 100 ̊ C. therefore, a reduced service life must be expected for these oils at higher temperatures in open systems.

Benefits:

  • Excellent resistance to deposit formation.
  • Exceptional thermal stability and good oxidation resistance.
  • Reduced evaporative loss due to low volatility and high flash points.
  • Good rust and corrosion protection.

Availability: In Stock

Megatron Multi-Purpose Grease is manufactured using highly refined mineral base oils which are carefully selected and then fortified with synthetic polymers, producing a highly shear stable foundation for the grease. This base oil foundation allows the product to perform in applications where light loads and medium speeds are typical.

Megatron Multi-Purpose Grease is manufactured using a lithium calcium thickener resulting in a buttery appearance with excellent shear stability characteristics. In addition, this type of thickener is easily pumped, has a moderate resistance to heat and is exhibits excellent water resistance. The optimal operating conditions for this grease in terms of temperature, is from -30 to 120 degrees Celsius, however short periods of elevated temperatures can be tolerated without severe damage to the product.

Megatron Multi-Purpose Grease is manufactured to a NLGI 2 grade resulting in a grease of medium to soft consistency. The product contains a blend of synthetic tackifiers, increasing its ability to resist water and adherence with all surfaces.

Megatron Multi-Purpose Grease is green in colour and whose formulation includes a full treat of extreme pressure (EP) and corrosion preventative additives enabling the grease to meet or exceed internationally recognised performance standards.

Benefits:

  • Very good thermal stability allowing the grease to perform for short periods of time under extreme temperatures, regaining its original texture after cooling to ambient temperature.
  • Allows for long periods of storage or non-use in the application without and mechanical breakdown of the grease thickener (e.g. oil separation).
  • Exhibits very good to excellent anti-rust and anti-corrosion properties.
  • The thickener has very good natural attributes which displace and resist water ingress.
  • Exhibits excellent resistance to heat.
