Mulderbosch Faithful Hound celebrates the virtues of Bordeaux’s great tradition of blending. Aside from investing considerable effort in our own vineyards in close proximity to False Bay, our quest to find the perfect sites for each of the five varieties used in the blend led us from cooler sites to the rich, shale soils of Bottelary. The goal with each bottling of Faithful Hound is to produce a rich, complex wine that comfortably expresses old world class, and the generosity of fruit associated with Stellenbosch.

TASTING NOTES:

• Appearance: Purple core with a deep red outer rim.
• Nose: A very beguiling and youthful entrance into the 2022 Faithful Hound with notes of bramble berry, baked rhubarb, and dense/ripe plum. Liquorice and a faint inkling of earthy and herbaceous fynbos all lead you to explore more.
• Palate: Full of sweet berry fruit, accompanied by elegant matching oak maturation and polished tannins. This wine seems to effortlessly snatch you away on a South African flavor journey.
