Cane sucker (bagasse) is used as one of the feed ingredients, as it is added to the bagasse (molasses - mineral salts - vitamins...) in order to produce good animal feed, as a ton of feed requires 0.2 tons of bagasse.

There are 3 types of feed produced from bagasse

1- Coarse and improved fodder: It is superior in nutritional value to hay and rice straw and is produced from cane suckers, shrubs, and leaves.

2- Integrated, uniform fodder: It is used as a balanced feed for medium-production dairy cattle. It can be fortified with concentrated feed materials in the case of high-yielding dairy cattle and fattening cattle. It is used to produce dry yeast and mineral and phosphorous salts available in molasses.

3- Uniform, integrated, concentrated fodder: This fodder is suitable as a concentrated fodder with high nutritional value. It is suitable for dairy cattle, fattening cattle, sheep, and some types of poultry, such as rabbits and ducks.

The three types can be produced in sugar factories after adding production units to them. The establishment of these units has succeeded in providing the following components in sugar factories, such as:

- Using edicofil lines to transport cane field waste to factories, which reduces the cost of transporting the waste

- Cane sucker is collected and concentrated in factories in addition to the presence of molasses

- The ease of collecting and collecting these wastes automatically in light of the current capabilities available to cane mechanization companies

It can be said that the introduction of cane and sugar factory waste into the feed industry resulted in many goals, including:

1- Reducing the tendency to import concentrated feed materials

2- Reducing the phenomenon of high feed prices

3- Improving the nutritional production level of the livestock herd

4- Reducing the risks that may arise from the accumulation of reed waste on the roofs of houses

5- The continuity of the presence of feed and its availability at a reasonable price due to the low prices of the materials involved in its composition

6- The availability of feed tempts new breeders to acquire meat and milk animals, which provides new job opportunities

Product specifications:

1- Crude protein not less than 11%

2- Raw fat, not more than 2%

3- Crude fiber not more than 22%

4- Ash not more than 12%

5- Humidity not exceeding 12%

6- The group of digested food compounds is not less than 55%.

7- Customized molding up to 16 mm.

Average annual production: approximately 8,000 tons (note that the maximum capacity of the factory is 25,000 tons annually, and the amount of production is due to the sales movement in the factory).
