What can you do with it?

Wood Cutting Wheels are both carbide cutting wheels for slicing, cutting and shaping on woods and laminates. Ideal for short cuts in wooden floors to make room for e.g. heating pipes or electronics or model making. The carbide coating makes this wheel very durable.

How to use?

Use with SC402 Mandrel. The Dremel exclusive Easy Speedclic (SC) mechanism makes wheel changing keyless, easy and fast: PULL - TWIST – RELEASE

Cutting wheels only work on their edge.

We recommend using a (two-handed) golf grip when using this accessory, and using the right angle attachment when a cut is hard to reach. To keep the disc life as long as possible, do not apply excessive pressure and do not exceed the RPM limits.

Materials to use on

This cut-off disk can be used on different wood types, like chipboard, hardwood, softwood, laminate, fiberboard, or even on plastics and laminates. Do not use them on metals.

What can you do with it?

Best for cutting and drilling in soft materials such as soft woods (less than 12mm
thick) and plastics. Great to go freehand to create the shapes you like.

How to use?

We recommend to use this bit with the Dremel Multipurpose Cutting Attachment, because it’s designed to help you maintain depth during the application. It’s important that the depth of the guide supports the cutting blade extending beyond the material by about 0.6 cm. (.25”). If the bit extends out too far beyond the material, it can be more difficult to control and can actually snap the bit.

Best control of the bit occurs when moving in a clockwise direction. Begin the cut at a 45 degree angle and then bring the accessory to 90 degrees.

The tool should be set at a high speed, the feed rate of the material or the tool through the material should be slow and gradual. Too much pressure will cause this accessory to get “red hot.”

Using the tip of the bit is not the best way to cut – we recommend using the sides of the bit, where the full cutting capacity of the fluting can be put to use.

What can you do with it?

Is ideal for drilling holes in both flat and contoured surfaces e.g. glass or ceramic wall.
Diamond grit is a full 360-degrees around the circumference of the bit which allows it to be used in a rasping action to enlarge a hole if needed.

How to use?

When cutting a hole, ensure your work piece is well secured and do not apply excessive pressure to avoid cracking the glass.

Apply cooling liquid or water to the material. Hold your tool at a 45 degree angle to go into the material.

Then gradually lift your tool up to make a 90 degree drill. Apply drops of water / cooling liquid to the work piece for a clean drill operation. You can take the accessory out of the material to apply water or cooling liquid.

Use with cordless tools only.
