What is hydrated lime?

Hydrated lime (calcium hydroxide) is a dry, colorless crystalline powder manufactured by treating calcium oxide (quicklime) with water. It is also known as slack lime, builders lime, or pickling lime.

What are the uses of hydrated lime?
